Fez’s old city, the medina consists of more than 9400 alleys. Some of them more extensive, some of them so narrow you almost didn’t recognize it them as a path. Moroccans are proud of their traditions and heritage. As you roam through the streets, you’ll be able to watch artisans apply century old traditions. Fez, one of the four royal cities of Morroco, was home to respected Imans, artists and scholars is a proud, confident city. It felt cosmopolitan and yet quaint at the same time.
Chefchaouen, Morocco – The blue city attracted visitors ever since. Nestled by the Rif mountains the charming town offers plenty of things to do. Chefchaouen, “Marocco’s prettiest medina” is almost deserted compared to other medinas making it easy to explore. As soon as you wander off the main alleys, you’ll be surprised to find beautifully hidden plazas, fountains our buildings.
This often overlooked the genuine royal city. Morocco’s “Versailles” offers so many things to do. After visiting Fez and Chefchaouen, Meknes quickly became one of our favorites due its charm and authenticity. It’s not as busy or big as its famous neighbor Meknes, but that only adds to its appeal.
The hstle and bustle of Jemaa el-Fnaa, colorful souks, intoxicating smell. Marrakesh swallowed us, irritated and mesmerized us. A lively medina, colorful souks, delicious food or desert adventures, Marrakesh offers things to do for everyone!
