Wir konnten uns auf keinen Fall eine Galapagos-Kreuzfahrt leisten, also beschlossen wir, die Inseln per Backpacking zu erkunden. Obwohl die meisten Inseln unbewohnt sind und nur mit dem Kreuzfahrtschiff besucht werden k\u00f6nnen, gibt es drei bewohnte Inseln (San Crist\u00f3bal, Santa Cruz und Isabela), auf denen man backpacken und auf eigene Faust erkunden kann. Je n\u00e4her wir dem Malec\u00f3n kamen, desto mehr schien die Stadt nicht nur den Menschen, sondern auch den Seel\u00f6wen zu geh\u00f6ren. Sie waren \u00fcberall \u2013 ausgestreckt auf B\u00e4nken, schlafend vor Eing\u00e4ngen, Ecken der Uferpromenade mit der Selbstverst\u00e4ndlichkeit von Alteingesessenen besetzend. Andernorts fallen einem vielleicht streunende Hunde oder Katzen auf. Hier waren es Seel\u00f6wen, komplett in den Alltag eingewoben. Zuerst f\u00fchlte es sich surreal an, dann seltsam normal \u2013 einer dieser seltenen Reisemomente, in denen die Natur nicht irgendwo au\u00dferhalb der Stadt ist, sondern mittendrin.     <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-theme-palette-3-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-510cc2b7ce62d3d2ee1dae70b4cae9c2 wp-block-paragraph\">San Crist\u00f3bal ist auch die Art von Insel, auf der man sein eigenes Tempo w\u00e4hlen kann. Es gibt viele Orte, die man auf eigene Faust entdecken kann, von Str\u00e4nden und Aussichtspunkten bis zu kurzen K\u00fcstenspazierg\u00e4ngen, aber es ist auch eine gute Basis f\u00fcr gef\u00fchrte Erlebnisse. Die Hunderte Jahre alten Schildkr\u00f6ten k\u00f6nnen sich frei im Gebiet bewegen, wie es ihnen gef\u00e4llt, daher muss man die Augen offen halten. Wir hatten das Gl\u00fcck, sp\u00e4t (wie immer) um die Mittagszeit anzukommen, und es schien, als w\u00fcrden auch die Schildkr\u00f6ten zu Mittag essen! Wir hatten Gl\u00fcck und sahen etwa 20 Riesenschildkr\u00f6ten, die alle an einem Futterplatz zusammenkamen! Es ist unglaublich, sich vorzustellen, wie alt sie sind, wie viele Dinge sie gesehen haben und wie sie ihr Leben leben. Wir h\u00e4tten zu gerne einen dieser Giganten zu seiner Lebensperspektive interviewt! Allerdings ist er nicht einfach zu erreichen. Man kann mit dem Fahrrad hinfahren (anstrengend), eine Tour machen oder ein Taxi mieten. Leider konnten wir keine Busse finden. Also w\u00e4hlten wir die einfachste und g\u00fcnstigste Option. Unser Taxifahrer setzte uns am Schildkr\u00f6ten-Schutzzentrum ab, und wir vereinbarten, dass er uns am sp\u00e4ten Nachmittag an der Playa Puerto Chino abholt.     <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nach etwa zehn Minuten Fu\u00dfweg erreicht man den abgelegenen Strand. Die Bucht ist Heimat von Seel\u00f6wen, und wir hatten den Strand bei unserem Besuch ganz f\u00fcr uns allein. Es war grandios, Seel\u00f6wen in ihrer nat\u00fcrlichen Umgebung zu beobachten.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Praktischer Tipp: Es gibt keine Restaurants oder sonstige Einrichtungen. Also Essen und Getr\u00e4nke mitbringen, wenn man ohne Tour unterwegs ist. Wir waren am Ende ziemlich hungrig. Au\u00dferdem Insektenspray einpacken, <a href=\"https:\/\/unique-universe.blog\/recommends\/bug-spray\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">denn es gibt<\/a> einige Bremsen in der Gegend. Warum? Wir liebten es, zwischen den vielen Seel\u00f6wen abzuh\u00e4ngen, die diesen Strandabschnitt zu ihrem Zuhause gemacht hatten. Au\u00dferdem war es der einzige Strand, den wir fanden, der leckeres, erschwingliches, authentisches Essen bot! Es war der erste Strand, den wir entdeckt hatten, und wir liebten es, von dort aus den Sonnenuntergang zu beobachten. Es ist ein Ort, den auch Einheimische besuchen, besonders zur Zeit des Sonnenuntergangs. einfach war, zwischen den Inseln zu springen, war unser Ausflug nach Santa Cruz spontan und ungeplant. Wir wollten Santa Cruz eigentlich zugunsten von Isabela auslassen, als ein Reiseveranstalter uns eine 360-Grad-Tour f\u00fcr nur 30 Dollar pro Person anbot. Er erz\u00e4hlte, er habe nur zwei Bolivianer auf dieser Tour und wolle sie auff\u00fcllen. So bekamen wir trotz sehr wenig Zeit auf der Insel einen guten \u00dcberblick \u00fcber das, was sie zu bieten hatte.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-theme-palette-3-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-802d63177619de774814995a0fb6e03a wp-block-paragraph\">Santa Cruz ist ohne Zweifel das touristische Zentrum der Inseln. Die Insel liegt g\u00fcnstig direkt zwischen Isla Isabela und San Crist\u00f3bal. Man muss ein Wassertaxi nehmen oder etwa 20 Minuten vom Hauptsteg aus zu Fu\u00df gehen, um dorthin zu gelangen. Allerdings ist es ziemlich \u00fcberlaufen, viele Leute springen und machen Fotos. Ein wundersch\u00f6ner, abgelegener Strand, perfekt f\u00fcr einen entspannten Tag. Er teilt sich in zwei Bereiche: den wilden Strand (Playa Brava) und den ruhigen Strand (Playa Mansa).  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Wie man zur Tortuga Bay kommt<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Beginn des Weges zur Tortuga Bay befindet sich am Ende der Charles Binford Avenue, ein paar Blocks hinter dem Haupttouristensteg nahe Las Ninfas und dem Hotel Fiesta. Einfach dem Weg f\u00fcr etwa anderthalb Meilen folgen (30-45 Minuten vom Startpunkt). Der Weg ist gepflastert, flach und leicht und f\u00fchrt durch ein altes Lavafeld, das von Palo-Santo-B\u00e4umen und Opuntien-Kakteen besiedelt ist. Es ist ein angenehmer Spaziergang, begleitet von Darwinfinken und Galapagos-Spottdrosseln, die zwischen den B\u00e4umen umherhuschen, und den melodischen Kl\u00e4ngen der Goldwalds\u00e4nger. Nicht vergessen, auf den Boden zu schauen, wo rothalsige Lavaleguane durch das trockene Buschwerk huschen. An der Tortuga Bay angekommen, wird man von wei\u00dfen Sandstr\u00e4nden und t\u00fcrkisfarbenem Wasser begr\u00fc\u00dft. Ein wahres Paradies!      <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><p> <\/p>Man kann die Tortuga Bay auch mit dem Boot erreichen. Die Fahrt dauert etwa 20 Minuten und kostet rund 10 US-Dollar pro Person. Obwohl man verzeihlicherweise annehmen k\u00f6nnte, dass Volc\u00e1n Chico ein eigenst\u00e4ndiger Vulkan ist, geh\u00f6rt er zu Sierra Negra und gilt als parasit\u00e4rer Kegel. Das bedeutet vereinfacht, dass er ein weiterer Weg f\u00fcr Lava ist, den Zentralvulkan zu verlassen. Die Wanderung auf Volc\u00e1n Chico und Sierra Negra zeigt zwei sehr unterschiedliche Seiten derselben Medaille. W\u00e4hrend Sierra Negra \u00fcberwiegend kahl mit sehr wenig Vegetation ist, ist Volc\u00e1n Chico von \u00fcppigem Gr\u00fcn bedeckt. Der Zugang zu Volc\u00e1n Chico und Sierra Negra ist nur mit einer gef\u00fchrten Tour m\u00f6glich. Touristen d\u00fcrfen das Gebiet nicht ohne Guide besuchen, und die Galapagos-Beh\u00f6rden sind hier sehr streng.      <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Wanderung ist ganzj\u00e4hrig m\u00f6glich, vorausgesetzt, der Vulkan befindet sich nicht in einer Phase hoher Aktivit\u00e4t. In diesen Zeiten werden die Sierra-Negra-Touren verschoben, bis die Gefahr vor\u00fcber ist. Das kann Wochen oder sogar Monate dauern. Die Wanderung auf Sierra Negra ist eine einmalige Gelegenheit, eines der einzigartigsten \u00d6kosysteme der Erde zu sehen.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Vulkanwanderung dauert von Anfang bis Ende etwa 5-6 Stunden. Auch wenn der Anstieg des Weges allm\u00e4hlich ist, kann die Wanderung aufgrund der Entfernung und der Hitze der \u00c4quatorsonne f\u00fcr manche anstrengend sein. Aber glaubt uns, die Aussichten sind es wert! Am Kraterrand angekommen, wird man mit einem unglaublichen Panorama der Insel Isabela und einem Gef\u00fchl f\u00fcr das Ausma\u00df des Ausbruchs belohnt, der Sierra Negra erschuf. Schon die Bootsfahrt selbst versprach Abenteuer. Da die See an diesem Tag jedoch rau war, musste unser Kapit\u00e4n einige recht aufregende Man\u00f6ver durchf\u00fchren, bis wir das Gebiet von Las Tuneles erreichten. Die eingest\u00fcrzten Lavatunnel beherbergen Wei\u00dfspitzenhaie, Schildkr\u00f6ten, riesige Dr\u00fcckerfische und viele andere Meeresbewohner. Wir sahen sogar einige Seepferdchen in freier Wildbahn! Es war absolut einzigartig! Man sollte jedoch bedenken, dass der Pazifik manchmal kalt und rau ist. Auch mit Neoprenanz\u00fcgen froren wir noch. Auf dem R\u00fcckweg sahen wir Pinguine, Mantarochen und Delfine, die unser Boot begleiteten. Es war unglaublich!
