Santa Ana war unser letztes Ziel auf der Reise durch El Salvador. Leicht wehm\u00fctig machten wir uns auf den Weg. Wir fuhren mit dem Bus von Ataco und erreichten nach knapp einer Stunde die h\u00fcbsche Stadt. Rosi, unsere Gastgeberin, war so lieb, uns\u00a0 im Zentrum der Kolonialstadt abzuholen. Damit unser Weg zum Vulkan Santa Ana nicht so weit ist, hatten wir uns ein Airbnb au\u00dferhalb der Stadt gesucht. Das G\u00e4stehaus<\/span><\/a> von Rosi war zu unserer \u00dcberraschung eine wundersch\u00f6ne Villa. Trotz des gro\u00dfen Anwesens f\u00fchlten uns sehr wohl und willkommen im Zuhause von Rosi.<\/p>\n Santa Ana ist die zweitgr\u00f6\u00dfte Stadt des Landes und vor allem f\u00fcr ihren gleichnamigen und sehenswerten Vulkan Santa Ana bekannt ist. Die Bauten sind zudem um einen begr\u00fcnten zentralen Platz angeordnet, dem Parque Central. Vor hier aus kannst du die hoch aufragende Kathedrale bestaunen, die an ihrer Au\u00dfenseite mit aufwendigen Schnitzereien verziert ist. Aktuell werden Projekte entwickelt und es wird Raum geschaffen f\u00fcr sozialen Aktivit\u00e4ten, die zuk\u00fcnftig der Gewaltpr\u00e4vention dienen sollen. Au\u00dferdem kannst du auf dem Mercado Colon noch das lokale Treiben beobachten. Der Markt Colon in der N\u00e4he des Parque Colon ist lebhaft, abwechslungsreich und billig. Eine Caldera, die vor Tausenden von Jahren in dem Vulkankrater entstanden ist. Die rutschigen Vulkanfelsen und Sandwege f\u00fchren oftmals einen Schritt nach oben, der dann gleich wieder zwei Schritten nach unten f\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n Der Weg hinauf schl\u00e4ngelt sich im Zickzack und die Vulkanbesteigung dauert etwas l\u00e4nger als die Besteigung des Santa Ana Vulkanes. Bewundern konnten wir den sagenhaften See nach einer rund 2 st\u00fcndigen Wanderung. Obwohl ich nicht allzu gerne wandere, muss ich zugeben, dass sich der Austieg mehr als gelohnt hat. Der t\u00fcrkisfarbene Schwefelsee ist einfach ein absolutes Highlight auf einer Reise durch El Salvador<\/span>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Ilamatepec ist der eigentliche Name des h\u00f6chsten Vulkans in El Salvador. Gef\u00fchrte Touren startet vom Eingang des Cerro Verde National Parks um 9 und um 11 Uhr. Der Aufstieg ist nicht ohne und dauert ungef\u00e4hr 2 Stunden. Nach unten sind es dann noch ungef\u00e4hr 1,5 Stunden. Oben ist es recht windig, sodass eine lange Hosen und Windjacke zu empfehlen ist.<\/p>\n Oben angekommen, erwartet dich ein unglaublicher Blick in den Vulkankrater.<\/p>\n Lass dich einfach verzaubern und genie\u00dfe das imposante Panorama zwischen den Vulkanen und Seen des Landes.<\/p>\n Von einigen Aussichtspunkten aus hat man einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den Coatepeque See. Die historische St\u00e4tte geh\u00f6rt dennoch zu einer der wichtigsten und eindrucksvollsten pr\u00e4kolumbischen St\u00e4tten in El Salvador. Ausgegrabene Ruinen bedecken eine Fl\u00e4che von 10 km\u00b2 und sind der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Maya-Tempel in El Salvador. Falls du auf deiner Reise durch Mittelamerika keine Chance bekommen hast, die Mayakultur kennenzulernen, so bietet Tazumal die perfekte M\u00f6glichkeit. Die Ruinen befinden sich ca. 15 km von Santa Ana entfernt. Eine halbst\u00fcndige Busfahrt (Buslinie 218 in Richtung Chalchuapa) von Santa Ana aus, setzt dich fast vor dem Eingangstor ab. Der Himmel ist wolkenfrei und strahlend blau. Aber auch in der Regenzeit (zwischen Mai und Oktober) ist gutes Wetter nicht ungew\u00f6hnlich. In der Regel gibt es zwei Touren: Eine startet um 9 Uhr und die zweite um 11 Uhr. Die Wanderung war (zu Lauris Freude) anspruchsvoller, als wir erwartet hatten. Vergiss nicht genug zu trinken und Sonnencreme mitzunehmen.<\/p>\n Es gibt zwei Startpunkte f\u00fcr die Wanderung. Einer vor dem offiziellen Tor, wodurch die Tour um ca. 30 Minuten l\u00e4nger wird. Der zweite Startpunkt ist am Fu\u00dfe des Vulkans.
