Zusammen mit unserer neuen Freundin Zoe, einer amerikanischen Auswanderin, die wir auf <a href=\"https:\/\/unique-universe.blog\/de\/tobacco-caye-belize\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tobacco Caye<\/a> kennengelernt hatten, machten wir uns also auf den Weg, um den westlichen Teil von Belize zu entdecken. Voller Tatendrang beschlossen Lorena und ich, eine Wanderung durch das <a href=\"https:\/\/unique-universe.blog\/recommends\/mountain-pine-ridge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mountain Pine Reserve<\/a> zu machen <a href=\"https:\/\/unique-universe.blog\/recommends\/mountain-pine-ridge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">.<\/a> Zusammen mit zwei j\u00fcngeren Guides wagten wir uns hinaus, um unsere Muskeln wenigstens ein bisschen zu fordern. Die Wanderungen waren ziemlich einfach und wir genossen es, von Gr\u00fcn umgeben zu sein. Eine Tour zum <a href=\"https:\/\/unique-universe.blog\/recommends\/mountain-pine-ridge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mountain Pine Reserve<\/a> kann mit den Big Rock Falls und der Rio Frio H\u00f6hle kombiniert werden und endet in Caracol. Im Vergleich zu ihren Nachbarn in Guatemala, Mexiko und Honduras sind die<a href=\"https:\/\/unique-universe.blog\/recommends\/xunantunich\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Ruinen von Xunantunich<\/a> viel kleiner und weniger besucht. Wie bei vielen Maya-Ruinen ist es ratsam, einen F\u00fchrer mitzunehmen, um alles zu verstehen. Wenn du aber auch knapp bei Kasse bist, kannst du die Ruinen von <a href=\"https:\/\/unique-universe.blog\/recommends\/xunantunich\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Xunantunich<\/a> auch schnell auf eigene Faust entdecken. Die Ruinen befinden sich auf der anderen Seite des Flusses im Dorf San Jose Succotz, das mit dem Bus und der F\u00e4hre leicht zu erreichen ist (die Fahrt ist kostenlos). Der Eintritt zu den Ruinen kostet 10 $BZ und ist ein toller Halbtagesausflug. Wir folgten den Empfehlungen unserer Jugendherberge und nahmen unsere Badesachen mit. Nachdem wir die Ruinen besichtigt hatten, tauchten wir zur Erfrischung in den Fluss ein. Wir stiegen an der Tankstelle aus und wanderten auf dem R\u00fcckweg zuf\u00e4llig zum Cahal Pech Resort Hotel. Inmitten \u00fcppiger Vegetation genossen wir den Tag am Mopan-Fluss. Nach so viel Zeit am Meer f\u00fchlte es sich fast komisch an, wieder im s\u00fc\u00dfen Wasser zu schwimmen. Wir haben den Tag damit verbracht, V\u00f6geln zuzuh\u00f6ren, vom Pier zu springen und mit einem Schlauch den Fluss entlang zu fahren. Zu unserer \u00dcberraschung luden uns Misael und Michael zu einer Weinverkostung ein. Im Gegensatz zum &#8220;traditionellen&#8221; Wein stellt Michael Weine aus exotischen Fr\u00fcchten her. Bei einem Glas Wein lie\u00dfen wir die Zeit verstreichen, bis es Zeit war, zu unserer Jugendherberge zur\u00fcckzukehren.
